Re: Cartridges

It's frustrating because you can't do ink charge on R3000 if you do not have 100% full all cartridges. The only solution remains to buy many sets of chips and change them.... It's so good on P600 to have the resetter. That is what is confusing me.  If you put in a 'new' cartridge and it shows full ...

Re: Finished R3000 Print Module

Did you use an off-the-shelf USB-B extender?

Are you going to make more/sell those panels for the inside of the printer?

Edit: I really like how clean it came out :D

Re: Looking for a utility,

There's not a set 'tool' to do that.  For example, I'm making one right now for my laser.  Its work area is 20"x12".  So, I draw a box that is 20x12, and use the laser to mark those edges on its work area. Now, in whatever design program, I draw another box that's 20x12.  Now as long as I ...

Re: Looking for a utility,

You can use any program to make a template. Basic idea is that you make an outline of your work area, then find a way to transfer that to your actual work surface.  On the printer you can print directly to the platen, on your CNC you make marks on your work surface.  So your platen would have an out...

Re: Chip Resetter Install (soldering advice / pics!)... kinda/sorta URGENT!

Have you checked _every_ solder connection?  If it's thinking the cartridges aren't installed, that would make me think some of the contacts are not making good connection to the printer.  Also, if none of the cartridges are being seen, that makes me wonder if it's missing one or two connections tha...

Re: DTG Printer for specific size

I agree.  We have a 1430 with refillable cartridges for sublimation.  Works fine.

Much quicker to get going vs. making a DTG machine.

Re: Cartridges

Ok.  That makes sense.  I think.  So, you put a new refillable cartridge in, the printer sees full, and you start using it.  As the nozzle fires, the printer writes a new ink level value to the eeprom on the cartridge.  Once this value gets low enough, the printer says "this cartridge is empty&...

Re: Cartridges

Does anyone have a technical explanation of how the ink level sensors work in the P600/R3000?  I'm just wondering why it's so difficult to come up with something that works to reset them all to 100% full.

Re: Stepper Motor Wiring

It looks like Andy just organized his outputs by letters, then numbers :) Stepper motors essentially have two different coils (as you found by checking for continuity).  As you change the polarity on the two coils, it will make the motor move to the next position.   If you get the wires crossed, the...
