Sounds like a neat idea. With rip software you can print cmyk colors and white. You can print white only or colors only or print the white with color on top of it. I have the 5v and GND opposite in my notes. Worst case your knob works backwards and you then flip the wires.

Andy, Any chance the xp600 would be able to use on the platform you have developed? I cannot find a 1410 anywhere other than "new". I'm not familiar with that model. However, it looks like a cheaper model and those most of time use the paper feed rod to also run the capping station. This ...

Andy, Is his power supply suitable at 3 amp ?  I think it is a code thing since it works fine other times. It seems to be happening around the front where the slow down is so it's either that code or if the encoder wheel is moving at the same time that is slowing the arduino down causing longer pau...

My guess is that is a version that has the slow down in the front to keep the platen from slamming. In the settings change the speed of the slow down until you get what you prefer.
